About Netmangler
"The network is the computer"(tm) was a marketing line used by Sun Microsystems. Unfortunately, there arn't many good tools to manage such a system.
The Netmangler project was started to create an open-source network management system that is designed to be:-
- Scaleable
- Extensible
- Multi-platform
- User friendly!
Unlike some commercial NMS software, it is not aimed directly at network engineers! The user base spec is constantly changing to cover different area's, such as:-
- Network Administrators/Engineers
- Systems Administrators/Engineers
- Security Personnel
- FM service providers
- NOC facilities
